Cookbook summary

This cookbook will present recipes showing, by-examples, how to use the different products of the Project. Specifically, the Cookbook is organized in the following sections:

  • INTER-Layer: it provides recipes correlated to the different INTER-IoT layers: Device-to-Device (D2D), Networking-to-Networking (N2N), Middleware-to- Middleware (Mw2Mw), Application Services-to-Application Services (AS2AS), Data&Semantics-to-Data&Semantics (DS2DS).

  • Cross (Transversal) Layer: it focuses on two fundamental aspects, Accountability and Security.

  • INTER-FW: it provides basic recipes at the framework level.

  • INTER-METH: it includes recipes related to the application of INTER-METH and its correlated tool for heterogeneous platforms integration.

Each defined recipe is based on the following schema:

  • Getting ready: description of the overall recipe scenario;

  • Recipe ingredients: which ingredients are needed to cook the recipes

  • Prerequisites: which pre-requisites are needed to support the recipes

  • How to do it: implementation of the recipe

  • How it works: execution of the recipe (if any)

Moreover, each specific section is wrapped by two sections: the "Foreword", which summarizes the aim of the section, and the "References to the documentation", which provides links to internal and external documentation.

It is worth noting that the Cookbook is easily extensible due to its web-based formatting. Therefore, as soon as new recipes are available, they can be easily uploaded onto the provided cookbook framework.
